What Prevents You from Losing Weight and Keeping it Off

Welcome back to the Sweet Life Wellness community! Today, let’s explore an important question that affects many of us on our wellness journeys: What prevents you from losing weight and keeping it off? Maybe you’ve been looking in the wrong places for answers about how to lose weight and keep it off. Maybe weight struggles have dogged you for years. You may have a long-term problem with your weight yet look for a short-term solution. Or you seek help from trendy diets or the magic of a meal plan without removing problems like lack of motivation, confidence, or consistency.

I’ve discovered 15 inner ROADBLOCKS, the problems that many of us struggle with when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off. Successful weight loss takes more than eating more fruits and vegetables.  If you’ve spent months or years trying to figure out an approach to weight loss that fits your needs, consider this.

When Julie called me one day here’s what she said, “I was 140 pounds when I started dieting. Now, five diets later I’m 225 pounds. I only wish I could get back to the 140 pounds where I started.” What most disappointed her was that she had lost weight so many times and now she was heavier than ever. What’s sad is most dieters fail to keep off the weight they lose. Most regain 80 percent of the weight they lost within 5 years.  Some gain even more, here’s what one woman told me: “I lost 50 pounds on this diet. Then I couldn’t afford to buy their food anymore. So, I regained the 50 pounds I lost. Plus I gained 20 pounds more.” The net result was that she had gained 20 pounds more than she lost from this diet.

The problem I discovered first for myself and then for the many clients I’ve helped is that losing weight is easy compared with keeping it off. Why? Lots of diets promise to help you lose weight, but no one is there to specifically help you maintain your weight loss. Diets aren’t sustainable and they are meant to be temporary. You go on them and then you go off them. And then you have short-term results but no long-term success. That’s one reason why I decided to make a career move to help people both lose weight AND keep it off.  And this is why I say that dieting makes things worse.

With each of my private weight loss clients I help them identify their top inner ROADBLOCKS to Weight Loss Success and tailor what we do to meet their needs. Now, I’m making this key proprietary tool available to you so you can discover for yourself your most important inner ROADBLOCKS to Weight Loss Success and begin removing them right away.  Click here to begin the quiz now.
