Welcome. Hello, I’m Kay Loughrey, Maryland, nutritionist and dietitian, helping you build a healthy relationship with food. Today, we’re talking about cravings, food cravings—your food cravings. This video is the third part of a 5-part video series. In the first video, covered the five steps of how to stop being controlled by food. In the second video, we talked about the trigger. Today, we’re talking about food cravings and we’re featuring Jenny, one of my previous coaching weight loss clients.

Jenny was an accomplished professional. She commuted to and from work each day. When she walked in the door after work, she went straight to the kitchen and walking into the kitchen triggered her food cravings. What did she do next? She snacked. She snacked all the way through making dinner on cheese, crackers, and nuts. By the time she sat down to dinner, she was almost full. By the time she finished dinner, she had overeaten and was disappointed in herself.

How Jenny stop her food cravings and not cave into these cravings by snacking before dinner? In the next video we’ll talk about how she paused and slowed down instead of going into autopilot and indulging her food cravings. Thank you for joining us for this video today. Click here to subscribe and we’ll see you in the next video about the 5 Steps to Stop being Controlled by food. Thank you.
